Rural Life Day, Honoring Legacy Farms and Businesses
BELOIT, KS — The Salina Diocese Rural Life Office will host its annual Rural Life Day on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Beloit.
A central highlight of the event will be the presentation of the Msgr. John George Weber Century Farm Award, and the Half-Century Business Award. These distinctive honors recognize families and business owners within the diocese whose Catholic faith has been the cornerstone of their longevity, guiding them through decades of changing times and economic seasons.
The event will commence with a prayer service in the church, moving to the school cafeteria for the official award presentations. A social hour with light refreshments will follow. The public is warmly invited to attend and support these pillars of our regional rural communities.
Any Diocese Family operating or owning a 100 year farm of 50 year business can complete the official award application on the Salina Diocese Rural Life office web site page, https://salinadiocese.org/office/rural-life/rural-life-day-century-farm-award/
Submission Deadline: August 1, 2026
