Baptism
Baptism makes one a member of the body of Christ and incorporates one into the Church, sharing in its mission of evangelization. The principal effects of Baptism are purification from all sin, both Original Sin and any personal sin, and the gift of Grace through new birth in the Holy Spirit. The Catholic Church baptizes people of all ages.
Sacramental Preparation
Parents are required to participate in a formation/catechesis class to be formed in the meaning of the Sacrament as well as its responsibilities for the baptism of their children. Adolescents and adults are prepared for Baptism through a process called the OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults) . Please call the church office if you or your child needs to be baptized.
